Principal's Message

Hello and welcome to the 2025-26 school year! 

My name is Sue Snyder, and I’m excited to introduce myself as the new K-4 principal  here at Buckeye Central Elementary. I’m honored to join this wonderful school community!

I’d also like to share that Mrs. Leah Filliater, who previously served as principal, has taken on a new role as Director of Curriculum and Assessment for our district. We’re grateful for her continued leadership and commitment to excellence in education.

We are excited to welcome students back on Tuesday, August 19. 

We’re looking forward to reconnecting with our BC families at our open house on August 12 from 6pm-7:30pm. Please note that for incoming kindergarten families, we have a parent meeting scheduled on Sunday, August 10 from 5pm-6pm in your child’s classroom.  Doors open at 4:45pm.  

Your child may drop off supplies to his/her new classroom during open house as well as check out our building and reconnect with our staff members! 

I look forward to a fantastic year ahead and to partnering with all of you in creating a positive school experience for our students.
